Welcome to Southern New Mexico Unsolved Murders.

I’ve had the idea for this project for several years now, since before leaving my journalism career in February 2019.

I spent 16 years as a reporter and editor at daily newspapers from Maine to Arizona. I covered crime in most of those places. Nowhere else did I find so many unsolved murders and missing person cases as in Southwestern New Mexico. I created this website with the hope that some of them can be solved, with your help. So, let’s get to work. These families have been waiting for a very long time.
